May Lodge

away from the crowd

For 2

Unwind from the daily grind, feel the grass under your feet, and soak up the sounds and scents of Easton Walled Gardens in our cosiest cottage. Tucked away near our Courtyard, May Lodge welcomes you (and your dog) to share in our peace.

The Kitchen and the Bedroom

Whether it’s the underfloor heating or the fully-fitted kitchen, we’ve thought of pretty much everything to make your stay smooth and seamless. Snuggle up in fresh, crisp sheets having made your morning cup of coffee. Throw open the French windows, take a glass of wine outside and breathe in the scents of Easton’s countryside.

THE SITTING ROOM

Sit back, settle down, contemplate the vaulted ceiling. Do nothing, do everything. It’s yours to enjoy – from the view out across over to the old stables to the pleasure of throwing another log on the woodburning stove.

what else?

As our guest, you can enjoy Easton Walled Gardens throughout your stay, including outside normal visitor opening hours. During these quieter hours, your dog is welcome to join you in the gardens on a lead.

AND.........

Wander out from your cottage door, straight into the calming space of Easton. Relax in 12 acres of gorgeous grounds, strike out along the banks where daffodils dance, lose yourself in the scent of sweetpeas and summer roses, daydream by the river, with tea and cake for company.

Out of the gate, under the archway, and into The Courtyard. Browse The Courtyard Shop for homewares and gifts and Griffin of Easton, our specialist stationery and artists’ materials shop, or stop for coffee, lunch or something sweet in The Coffee Room.

Eat out, eat in. Visit the Estate’s Pub, The Cholmeley Arms, with its yummy, home-cooked food and inviting open wood fires, or pick up locally-sourced ingredients from Jade’s Farm Shop next to the Pub.

We now offer Afternoon Teas in The Courtyard, or in your cottage. These cost £26pp and are for a minimum of 2 people. They can be ordered when you book your stay, and please note that we do need 3 days’ notice. If you could put which date you want your Afternoon Tea, and where you want it, in the message box on check-out we’ll make sure it’s there for you. Please also let us know about any allergies when you book. Many thanks.

We’ve got our own ‘beach hut’ in the Gardens, which we love to share with you. The Meadow Retreat can be all yours for the day – sit in peaceful comfort, looking out over the ancient Park with with grazing sheep, mewing Red Kites and clacking wrens for company. There is a small extra cost for this – please ask at time of booking if you’re interested.

We’re also lucky to have an amazing yoga teacher, Laura, living in Easton, and she can offer private, one-on-one yoga classes in your cottage or loft during your stay with us. She can be reached at Laura.jekyll@gmail.com or on 07795 908 538.
