Luxury Holiday Cottages near Stamford

A country stay close to Stamford

Just 20 minutes from Stamford, Easton Holiday Cottages combine the independence of a self-catering cottage with the setting of a historic country estate.

Our cottages have been created from buildings that once had other roles at Easton, and each has retained its own character. There are cosy cottages and Lofts for two as well as larger houses for family and friends, all surrounded by the Lincolnshire countryside.

Stamford is close enough for shopping, lunch or dinner, but at Easton you return to the peace of the Estate and the gardens.

Cottages with character

Rather than making our cottages all the same, we have tried to retain the individual character of each building.

You’ll find comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchens, thoughtful interiors and plenty of space to settle in. Some cottages have woodburning stoves and private outdoor spaces, and all welcome dogs.

But what really sets a stay at Easton apart is what lies outside your cottage door.

Guests have Easton Walled Gardens on their doorstep, with the opportunity to enjoy the gardens outside normal visitor opening hours. Early mornings and evenings are particularly lovely, when the day visitors have gone and the gardens become wonderfully quiet.

More than somewhere to sleep

Easton Walled Gardens extend to 12 acres, with terraces, meadows, borders and views across the surrounding countryside. The garden changes through the seasons, from snowdrops and spring bulbs to roses, meadow flowers and our renowned sweet peas.

The Courtyard is also home to our Coffee Room, The Courtyard shop for homewares and gifts, and Griffin of Easton, our specialist stationery and artists’ materials shop. Opening days and times vary through the year, so do check before your stay.

Explore Stamford from Easton

Stamford is one of England’s loveliest market towns, with Georgian streets, historic buildings, independent shops, cafés and restaurants.

Spend the morning exploring the town, visit nearby Burghley, stop for lunch or stay for dinner before returning to Easton. Rutland Water, the Vale of Belvoir and the wider Lincolnshire countryside are also within easy reach.

It’s a particularly good combination: plenty to see and do when you want it, and somewhere peaceful to come back to afterwards.

Self-catering, at your own pace

One of the pleasures of staying in a cottage is having your own space and your own timetable.

Cook at home, eat out, spend the whole day exploring or stay at Easton and enjoy the gardens. There are no schedules to follow.

Easton simply gives you a beautiful place from which to enjoy Stamford and this part of England.
