Over the river, up the steps, under the archway, and… shop. Eat out, eat in. Visit the Estate’s Pub, The Cholmeley Arms, with its yummy, home-cooked food and inviting open wood fires, or pick up locally-sourced ingredients from Jade’s Farm Shop next to the Pub.
We’ve got our own ‘beach hut’ in the Gardens, which we love to share with you. The Meadow Retreat can be all yours for the day – sit in peaceful comfort, looking out over the ancient Park with with grazing sheep, mewing Red Kites and clacking wrens for company.
We’re also lucky to have an amazing yoga teacher, Laura, living in Easton, and she can offer private, one-on-one yoga classes in your cottage or loft during your stay with us. She can be reached at Laura.jekyll@gmail.com or on 07795 908 538.
MAIN FACTS
You will have unlimited, free access to Easton Walled Gardens during your stay, even when the Gardens are closed to Day Visitors. This perk is available exclusively to our Holiday Let Guests and we ask that you don’t extend it to your friends without asking us first. They would be expected to pay an admission charge.
The Gardens are open to Day Visitors from February to just before Christmas, Wednesdays to Sundays plus Bank Holidays, from 11am to 4pm. The busiest times are during Snowdrop Season and Sweet Pea Season. During weekday working hours, 8 am to 5 pm, there will also be gardeners working to maintain these beautiful gardens.
A detached Victorian cottage, close to the A1 and accessed via an all-weather track across acres of ancient parkland (drive slowly, especially if you have a low slung car!), with other buildings nearby.
A traditional Victorian cottage; the door frames are lower than normal so tall people need to take care and access to the first floor is by a steep staircase. The cosy Library is probably not good for those over 6ft, but the rest of the cottage has good headroom.
A spacious cottage suited for two or four people – ideal for garden lovers.
Easton Walled Gardens is on Newton's Trail, a map of local attractions. See the map HERE.
The mobile reception is fair depending on network.
Easily accessible via Easton village, which is about half a mile away.
Unfortunately, due to the Cottage’s listed status it has not been possible to make it wheelchair-friendly and the accommodation is on various different levels.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE ANY OF OUR HOLIDAY COTTAGES
